The process
The process of gaining ISO Certification is relatively simple and straight forward. Sigma Quality Assurance has developed the below flow chart to demonstrate the process and assist you in obtaining your ISO Certification.
Step 1.

Step 2.
Pre-Certification Audit.
Accept the quote and set up a date for your Pre-Certification Audit. The Pre-Certification Audit will be a high level test run to see whether your current management system is suitable for Certification. Sigma Quality Assurance will report on any areas of concern. This audit sets expectations for the actual Certification Audit.
This step is important as the Pre-Certification Audit allows for any necessary system improvements before the Certification Audit and provides you with more clarity and confidence in the process.
Step 3.
Certification Audit.
Sigma Quality Assurance completes the Certification Audit where we will examine the extent to which your business addresses the ISO program criteria. Areas of concern will be reported. Once we are satisfied there are no outstanding issues that present an unacceptable risk to you, your employees, customers, regulators, or others, we can proceed to issue a Certificate of Confidence. Well done!
Step 4.
Maintaining Certification.
Depending on the level of risk, we will conduct a series of surveillance audits (and in some cases special and follow-up audits) and tri-ennial re-certification audits, to examine the extent to which you continue to address the program criteria.
